raymond the firefly
Princess and the Frog is absolutely wonderful- probably the best modern Disney Animation Studios flick and this character is the best of many great ones. He's affable, good-natured, and just naive (he's in love with a firefly he calls Evangeline who happens to be a star) enough to make you root for him.

Disney knows how to do comic relief and Aladdin proves it with Robin Williams's character Genie. What a character.

Steamboat Willie was the one that started it all. While he's not the best character, he's so iconic, that he has to be on the list.
